South American Hospitality

Hi to All, It's great to be back in the saddle as I pen another entry into this ever-growing blog about Andros Walsh.

So, what's he been up to lately? After throwing off the shackles of regular full time work, Andros took up a posting in Portugal & France for the summer. His main role was to document the summer tourist season, conducting video survey's and reporting back to the southern European demographics board. Andros also produced a short project which was filmed in Lyon.

Andros recently visited his home town of Sydney to vote in the recent federal elections and see to some personal matters. But mid-September saw Andros Walsh jet overseas once again on a new assignment to South America. Particularly, the beautiful country of Ecuador.

Last I heard, Andros was in Quito then heading into the Amazon for a 4 week project. Although he logs in using the production satellite phone, there likely wont be regular contact for the next few weeks. What a life. A hammock, mosquito net, minimal camera crew and a poison blow dart for protection.

Thanks for all your responses to my previous post. It's always nice to hear from you personally and chat about your experiences with Andros.

Always - Stephen Tan.

6 Degrees

Today I'd like to explore the area of professions.
Let's hear it.

I know plenty of you are in the media, film and marketing sector. But we also have a few teachers and visitors in the hospitality trade.

Why not email me back with details of what you do to earn a living, what you do in your spare time, and finally - how you met Andros Walsh. It's a great opportunity to build our network. It's almost like a study of our 6 degrees of separation.

All emails to stephen.tan64@gmail.com

cheers,

Stephen.

THE BEST PERSON I KNOW

Over the years this blog has become a sort of living tribute to Andros Walsh. He is literally the best person I know.

It's been such a long time since we first met, but Andros remains one of the most inspiring, selfless, caring, honest and supportive friends anyone could ever have.

And most of you already know this. Through your emails and the countless conversations we've shared, it is evident that Andros Walsh has influenced more than just my life in a positive way.

Andros recently wrapped a short project in Lyon, France. And he was kind enough to send us a small selection of images taken from his Google glass

Andros also sent me this wonderful message. It seems he has quite the knack for language! I will give him the last word in today's blog.
As always - please email me your questions to forward on to Andros. I think he is in Stockholm next.

Au Revior!

Stephen Tan.

MUSIC TO YOUR EARS

As the subtle sounds of Chet Baker permeate the cafe, I'm reminded of all the harmonious relationships that surround us. The air is filled with the Ying and Yang of daily life.

What does music do for you? If you're thinking in dischord with others, perhaps it's time to take a fresh approach.

Imagine a life where you are no longer haunted by the past. Every day is a new beginning.

It's not too late to talk about your problems, no matter how hard it may seem. I urge you to speak to the professionals at Beyond Blue to regain the balance in your life. If you've spent too much time dwelling on re-imagined grievances, a simple phone call could help lift your mood.

Another great initiative to consider is Men's Shed, which offers a constructive outlet for those who have none. Please follow the links and take some time to think about the benefits available.

Best Wishes,

Stephen

It's That Time Again

And we're back by popular demand.

It's been a while since I've blogged. With all the emails that flooded through since 2011, we're all mostly on a personal basis now. And I'm honored to have developed some really great friendships.

One of the most memorable occasions was helping Rohan build his Smokehouse last year. Thanks for inviting me down. Andros called shortly afterwards and said he'd come by some time to smoke some bacon. Has he visited you yet?

And check out one of Andros' mates testing the new Recon HUD. The man himself assisted in the RnD. Incredible stuff!

It's been an exciting last few months. Work has taken me over to LA several times and Norway again. Great times in Rome too with Serge and Val. I'll be back there soon.

In the meantime, keep an eye on this blog for more updates on Andros Walsh and his travels. It's late in the West now, so Andros will shoot through some comments to you all overnight.

I've been informed the impostor is back. As always, please dont entertain this person.

Regards,

Stephen

It's all in a name

Exciting news, Guys.

Thanks to the success of this blog and many others like it, Andros Walsh has come to the attention of the popular German TV Network ZDF. They, like us, find Andros such an interesting subject that they have offered him his own Television Show! That's right. A TV show all about Andros Walsh.

The intention is to follow Andros Walsh for 3 months, while he influences people all over the world. Whether it be during the production of one of his feature documentaries, or while Andros consults to another international political figure. It'll offer his German fans the opportunity to get closer than ever to the man himself.

The good people at ZDF are planning the Pilot now, so I should have more news for you soon. But I can tell you that the pilot features a visit to the Hofbrauhaus!

The power of the internet, huh? It's ironic that one caustic piece of online communication, can lead to a surge in international popularity for Andros.

As always, keep the emails coming! I regularly forward fan mail on to Andros.

regards,

Stephen.

Variety

Andros Walsh makes Variety again!

Check out www.variety.com/latest-news/ and check the 3rd Post down for more details.

Through months of internet research, we've found that Andros is the most widely recognized Australian working in specific European/USA film markets this week. Yes, that's right folks and subscribers... Through Andros Walsh's industry-leading work in prose, spoken word poetry and interpretive dance performances, he is now the most widely recognized Australian working in these markets in Europe and the USA.

Andros' influences are everywhere. We've often spoken about where they might arrive from. And believe it or not, but the local newspaper, world politics and New Scientist still provide Andros with the most creative inspiration. Who would have thought. One thing's for sure, we can all learn a thing or two from Andros Walsh.

Disagree? That's ok. I'd love to hear from you at stephen.tan64@gmail.com
